In this last post from the Oracle Cloud World 2022 series, I’m not going to share anything new, as nothing else was announced on this day. It was mostly just attending sessions around OCI Security, Microservices, Exadata, and last but not least, networking with old and new peers.

So as I sit on the airplane writing this post, a phrase from my favorite author (Stephen King) comes to mind: “Good people shine brighter”. You might be wondering what does this have to do with Oracle Cloud World?

Well for me this event has to do a lot with the people I get to see and talk. I got to hug several people who I haven’t seen in years. I learned new things that I can immediately put into play at work, and others that will help me in the upcoming years.

It motivated me to continue putting my little grain of salt in helping the tech community, and even take it a step further with the videocast I already started.

It grounds me again, as I realized that I still know nothing and want to continue learning new stuff. It challenges me to think about what topic I want to learn and share those learnings with those who need it.

I want to think that what I mentioned above, enables me to be a better peer to my colleagues and a better leader to my group. I also want to think that the people I had contact with at CloudWorld, I helped them shine a tad brighter. So shine on peers , and if life permits it, I will see you at the next one!
